Tonia White
Registered Manager
Tonia joined Cornelia Manor in 2010, having progressed from a Carer to a Senior Carer, and then to Deputy Manager. As of 2023, she is a proud Registered Manager with the Care Quality Commission (CQC). With 34 years of experience in the care sector, she holds a QCF Level 5 in Care Home Management.

Tonia and the dedicated care team understand how vital it is to ensure all individuals are involved in their care and wellbeing. Matthew Gilles
Deputy Manager
Our Deputy Manager, Matthew Gilles, is dedicated to providing exceptional care and support, though he’s a bit camera-shy. His commitment to our residents shines through in everything he does, even if he prefers to stay out of the spotlight.
Helen Balfour
Head of Care
Helen has been a valued member of the Cornelia Manor Residential Care Home team for an impressive 27 years. She began her journey in 1997, starting as a Carer and Kitchen Assistant, and quickly demonstrated her dedication and passion for caring for others. By 1999, Helen had advanced to the position of Senior Carer, showcasing her commitment to providing high-quality care to our residents.
In January 2021, she transitioned into the role of Care Plan Co-ordinator and Medication Lead, further solidifying her expertise in resident care management. Her continued dedication and leadership were recognised in January 2024 when she was appointed as Head of Care, a role in which she now leads our care team with compassion and excellence.
Helen's 27-year tenure at Cornelia Manor is a testament to her unwavering commitment to looking after the vulnerable and ensuring they always have a smile on their faces. Outside of work, Helen enjoys trips to London to support her favourite football team, taking long walks with her husband, and cherishing time spent with her granddaughter.
Helen's deep connection to Cornelia Manor and her passion for making a difference in the lives of our residents make her an integral part of our home.
Sue Hinton
Admin and Finance Manager
Sue has worked within the care sector for 16 years, reception, administration and finance.Nine of these years have been at Cornelia working alongside Director as his Personal Assistant.
